Self Reflection Form-
This form will be used if a student continuously disregards set expectations or exhibits negative/hurtful behaviors toward others or his/herself. Once the form is completed a personal conference will be held with the teacher and student to evaluate the reflection form as well as planning how to positively move forward from the situation. Although this reflection form can initially be seen as a negative consequence, by the end of the reflection process it becomes a tool to reinforce positive behaviors. See source 11 for more information.

Pin System-
This chart incorporates both positive and negative consequences. Students are able to higher or lower their pin based on individual behaviors displayed. By giving students the option to higher their pin, they are encouraged to do their personal best and follow expectations throughout the day. Paralleling that idea is the notion of lowering a pin. Students will be asked to lower pins if they disregard classroom expectations, protocols and rules. This consequence plan is designed so that students take accountability for their own actions and behaviors. If a pin needs to be moved the teacher will calmly ask the student to do so. Once asked the student will move the pin and return to their seat. When a pin is lowered more than once, the student must conference with the teacher about why the pin was lowered as well as completing the consequence listed on the pin chart. See source 4 for more information.

Mystery Marble Activity-
To incorporate positive reinforcement students can earn marbles to be placed into the class jar. When students collectively follow classroom expectations or demonstraight the behaviors listed on the poster they receive a marble. Once students fill the jar a fun activity will be integrated into the school day. In other words students get to find out what the “mystery activity” is. Examples of activities include extra recess, class outside, or a theme day. Students will be able to earn these extra activities up to two times per month. Because this positive consequence has students are working toward a common goal not only are students engaged in good behaviors but they are also strengthening the classroom community. See source 1 for more information.
